Description

Classic and simple cookies that are tender, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Soften the butter to room temperature.
  2. Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour until well combined, creating a slightly crumbly dough.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls and flatten each with a fork on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  4. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely, allowing cookies to firm up.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature. Can also be refrigerated for 2 weeks or frozen for 3 months.
