Description

This no-knead artisan bread features a crisp, golden crust and a soft, open crumb, making it perfect for sandwiches or as a side to soups.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 350ml warm water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp instant yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast. Lightly oil the bowl.
  2. Add warm water and stir until a wet dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 12–18 hours at room temperature.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, shape it into a ball, and let it rest for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  4. Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover it, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For variations, try adding herbs, cheese, or seeds to the dough before baking. Store at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
