- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the applesauce, sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan with the batter and bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle some chopped nuts on top of the glaze or add a touch of cinnamon.
