Description

A cozy dessert featuring ripe bananas topped with a crunchy oat mixture, perfect for a weeknight indulgence or a comforting weekend treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray. Peel and slice the bananas and arrange them in the dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly and fold in chopped nuts if desired.
  3. Spread the crumble mixture over the bananas evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and the bananas are bubbling slightly.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added richness. This dish can also be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to 4 days.
