- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray. Peel and slice the bananas and arrange them in the dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly and fold in chopped nuts if desired.
- Spread the crumble mixture over the bananas evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and the bananas are bubbling slightly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added richness. This dish can also be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to 4 days.
