- 2 medium apples, peeled and cored
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel and core the apples, then cut each into eight wedges.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and wrap each apple wedge in it, placing seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
- Melt 1 cup of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the buttery mixture over the dumplings and add 1 can of lemon-lime soda. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
