Description

This baked lemon fish with garlic butter is bright, fragrant, and ready in under 30 minutes. Moist fish with a rich, savory garlic butter finish and fresh citrus lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Lightly season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the fillets in a single layer in a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the fish fillets.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Spoon pan juices over each fillet, garnish with lemon slices, and serve warm.

Notes

Choose even-thickness fillets for even cooking. Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
