- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian seasoning to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, draining any excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg and a pinch of salt. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and more sauce. Repeat until ingredients are used, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce topped with Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
