Description

A hearty and satisfying dish with layers of tender noodles, rich beef, creamy cheeses, and zesty marinara, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, draining any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the marinara sauce and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg and a pinch of salt. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and more sauce. Repeat until ingredients are used, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce topped with Parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
