Description

A delightful stir-fry that combines the richness of beef with the crispness of fresh vegetables, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked white rice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and freshly cracked black pepper to create the sauce.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shredded cabbage and sliced red bell pepper, stir-frying for 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the pan, pour the sauce over the mixture, and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Serve hot over rice if desired.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
