Description
These little snacks smell like warm cinnamon and sweet maple. Breakfast Pigs in Cinnamon Rolls are an easy treat that pairs soft dough with savory mini sausages.

- 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
- 1 package of cocktail sausages or mini hot dogs
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of butter (optional)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and separate the rolls on a clean surface.
- Take each roll and flatten it slightly with your fingers or a small rolling pin. Place a cocktail sausage at the center of each flattened roll and wrap the dough around the sausage to encase it. Pinch the seams to seal snugly.
- Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. If using butter, melt it and brush a thin layer over the tops of the rolls. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove the tray from the oven. Drizzle each roll lightly with maple syrup and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Let cool for a minute or two, then serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm on a platter for brunch or quick breakfast. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
