An indulgent treat that combines chocolate chip cookies and fudgy brownies topped with creamy chocolate buttercream.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup brownie batter (from a brownie mix)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch cake pan.
- Cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan. Layer with brownie batter, then drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- For the buttercream, combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar, milk, and softened butter. Beat until smooth. Once the cake is cool, spread the frosting on top.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
