- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out star shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Place half of the star shapes on a baking sheet and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Cover with remaining pastry shapes, seal the edges, and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
