Description

Delightful chewy chocolate chip cookies with soft centers and slightly crispy edges.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather your ingredients.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
