Description

A quick, smoky, and creamy chipotle sauce that’s perfect for tacos, roasted vegetables, and as a lively dip for chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 23 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel and mince the garlic. Measure the sour cream and lime juice. Adjust the number of chipotle peppers based on desired heat.
  2. Place sour cream, chipotle peppers, minced garlic, and lime juice in a blender or food processor. Secure the lid.
  3. Blend until smooth and well combined. No heat is required.
  4. Taste and add salt as needed. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Control the heat by adjusting the number of chipotle peppers and removing seeds.
