Description

A warm and spiced drink perfect for the festive season, featuring a blend of aromatic spices and creamy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons loose black tea or 2 tea bags
  • 23 tablespoons chai spice mix (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream and cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water and chai spice mix. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the loose tea or tea bags to the boiling mixture and let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a clean saucepan to remove the spices and tea leaves. Add the milk and brown sugar to the strained tea. Heat gently over medium heat until warm, but do not boil.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the latte into mugs and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly brewed loose black tea. For a dairy-free option, almond or oat milk are great alternatives.
