Description
A warm and spiced drink perfect for the festive season, featuring a blend of aromatic spices and creamy texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons loose black tea or 2 tea bags
- 2–3 tablespoons chai spice mix (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: whipped cream and cinnamon for topping
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and chai spice mix. Bring to a boil.
- Add the loose tea or tea bags to the boiling mixture and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a clean saucepan to remove the spices and tea leaves. Add the milk and brown sugar to the strained tea. Heat gently over medium heat until warm, but do not boil.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the latte into mugs and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use freshly brewed loose black tea. For a dairy-free option, almond or oat milk are great alternatives.
