Description

Festive sugar cookie bars that are easy to make and perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • Colorful sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the bars cool completely in the pan.
  9. Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles just before serving.
