Description
A fun and colorful appetizer that resembles a holiday wreath, this cheese ball combines tangy cream cheese with bold taco flavors and crunchy veggies.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (various colors)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup diced black olives
- Tortilla chips or veggie dippers for serving
Instructions
- Take the cream cheese out of the fridge to soften for 20–30 minutes. Dice the bell peppers, chop the green onions, and dice the black olives so everything is ready.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded Monterey Jack, and taco seasoning. Mix well until fully combined and smooth. Fold in the diced bell peppers, green onions, and black olives evenly.
- Shape the mixture into a large ball (or into a wreath ring if you prefer). Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up and allow flavors to meld.
- Once chilled and firm, arrange the cheese ball on a serving platter. Surround it with tortilla chips or veggie dippers, and optionally garnish with extra diced peppers or sliced green onions to enhance the wreath look. Serve at room temperature and enjoy!
Notes
Use full-fat cheeses for the best flavor and texture. Chill the cheese ball to allow the flavors to meld properly.
