Description
A quick, hearty skillet meal that blends Italian pasta with bold ranch-style flavors, perfect for weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon. Brown the beef, stirring occasionally so it cooks evenly.
- When the beef is mostly browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent and soft, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer the sauce for 10–15 minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss gently to coat the pasta with the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot, topped with grated cheese if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, use lean ground beef or switch to ground turkey. Enjoy with a side of crusty bread or a salad.
