Description

A hearty casserole combining pierogi and beef kielbasa in a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 bag frozen pierogi (about 16 ounces)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, layer the sliced kielbasa and frozen pierogi. Make sure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, cheddar cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the cheese mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes until the pierogi are tender. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Can use turkey or vegetarian sausage as a lighter alternative. Add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
