- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, add to the skillet, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in shredded Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and allow to heat through for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary during the sauce-making step. Experiment with different cheeses if desired.
