Description

A rich and comforting skillet dish featuring tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and creamy Asiago cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, add to the skillet, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in shredded Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and allow to heat through for a couple of minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary during the sauce-making step. Experiment with different cheeses if desired.
