Description

A comforting pasta dish combining savory sausage, sweet peppers, and a creamy sauce that’s perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 sausages (Italian or your choice)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add sausages and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove sausages and set aside.
  3. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, simmer for another 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta and sausages to skillet, toss to coat in sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm, can be paired with garlic bread or a fresh garden salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 3 days.
