Description

A moist and tender yogurt cake with a light, golden top that’s simple to make and perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour the cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, and eggs until smooth. Slowly add the vegetable oil and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–40 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  5. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve plain, with fruit, or topped with whipped cream. Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
