Ingredients

- 1 package angel food cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the angel food cake mix according to the package instructions and bake. Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting.
- Cut the cooled cake into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
- In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it’s hot but not smoking.
- In a bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Fry the angel cake pieces in the hot oil until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Remove the fried bites and drain them on paper towels. While warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve the crispy churro bites warm and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days or freeze for longer storage.
