Description

A delightful dish that brings together crispy baked fish sticks and a creamy tartar sauce, perfect for family dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish fillets (like cod or haddock)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil spray for baking
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (for tartar sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and cut the fish fillets into even sticks.
  2. Set up a breading station with plates for seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Dip each fish stick in flour, then egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Place on a baking sheet, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While baking, mix mayonnaise, chopped pickles, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the tartar sauce.
  6. Serve the fish sticks hot with the tartar sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular. Adjust seasoning based on your taste preferences.
