Description

Rich, silky chocolate truffles that melt in your mouth, perfect for sharing or as a delightful gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder (for coating)
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a heatproof bowl. Line a tray with parchment paper.
  2. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it simmers, then pour it over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute.
  3. Stir the mixture until smooth, then mix in the vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours until firm.
  4. Scoop out portions of the ganache and roll into balls. Coat in cocoa powder or chopped nuts and place on the tray. Store in the refrigerator until serving.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Chill the ganache sufficiently to make rolling easier.
