Description

Delicious and simple sausage rolls wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage meat
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles, about 4×6 inches. In a mixing bowl, combine the sausage meat with Dijon mustard, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Add fresh herbs if desired.
  3. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at one end of each pastry rectangle.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly around the filling, sealing the edges with a fork.
  5. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm from the oven with dipping sauces.
