Description

A robust tonic to boost the immune system, made with apple cider vinegar, herbs, and spices.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 quart apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup horseradish root, grated
  • 1/2 cup ginger root, grated
  • 1/2 cup garlic cloves, chopped
  • 12 jalapeño peppers, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large jar, combine the grated horseradish, grated ginger, chopped garlic, chopped jalapeños, chopped onion, and lemon slices.
  2. Pour the apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until the jar is full.
  3. Seal the jar tightly and shake well. Let sit in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, shaking every few days.
  4. After infusion, strain the mixture into a clean jar or bottle, discarding solids. Stir in honey to taste.
