Description

A quick, comforting weeknight meal featuring tender bowtie pasta with savory browned beef and garlicky butter, finished with a sprinkle of Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a small cup of the pasta cooking water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, seasoning with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until browned, breaking the beef into small pieces. Add the drained pasta and toss to combine, heating through for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. If dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve hot and add extra Parmesan at the table. Pair with salad and crusty bread.
