Description
A creamy, cheesy pasta dish featuring tender diced chicken, garlic-scented butter, and mozzarella over bowtie pasta, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Dice the chicken, mince the garlic, and shred the mozzarella as needed.
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the shredded mozzarella until it melts and forms a smooth sauce. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of the reserved pasta water.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the cheesy cream. Adjust seasoning as needed. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter dish, consider substituting half-and-half for heavy cream. Pair with a green salad or steamed vegetables.
