Description

Delightful gingerbread-flavored cupcakes perfect for the holiday season, decorated to resemble charming gingerbread houses.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • White frosting
  • Decorative candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the molasses and milk until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cupcakes cool completely before transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. Decorate cooled cupcakes with white frosting and add decorative candies to create your gingerbread house masterpiece!
