Description

Delightful Gingerbread Truffles capture the warm, spicy essence of the holiday season in every bite, coated in luscious chocolate and perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup gingerbread cookie crumbs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 8 oz chocolate, for coating
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine gingerbread cookie crumbs, softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well mixed.
  2. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  6. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment paper, sprinkling with nuts or decorative sprinkles if desired.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate is firm, about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Serve the Gingerbread Truffles and enjoy!

Notes

For a more intense flavor, substitute half of the chocolate with white chocolate and add a small amount of orange zest.
