- 4 green chiles, roasted and chopped
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
- Cook patties on the grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding cheese in the last minute to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill briefly.
- Assemble the burgers with cooked patties, roasted green chiles, and additional toppings.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, grill the chiles alongside the patties. Let patties rest after cooking for juicier burgers.
