- 1 loaf of crusty bread
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the loaf of bread on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, make deep cuts about 1 inch apart, but do not cut all the way through.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture generously over the bread.
- Stuff the cheese into the cuts of the bread, pushing it down as far as it will go.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it in the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven wrapped in foil at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
