Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. If using, fold in dark chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool before serving.
