Description

This Healthy Cottage Cheese Tuna Salad is bright, creamy, and quick to prepare, combining mild cottage cheese with flaky tuna, crisp celery, and zesty red onion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., dill or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Drain the tuna thoroughly and pat it dry with a paper towel. Dice the celery and red onion into small, even pieces.
  2. Combine the cottage cheese, drained tuna, diced celery, and diced red onion in a mixing bowl. Pour in the lemon juice.
  3. Gently fold the ingredients with a spoon or spatula to keep the tuna flaky and the cottage cheese creamy.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in fresh herbs if desired and chill for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Stir before serving if some liquid separates.
