Description

A cozy soup that brings the flavors of your favorite cheeseburger into a creamy, comforting bowl, perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat from the pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, diced potatoes, carrots, celery, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and milk, stirring until the cheese melts. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

You can customize the vegetables or add bacon for extra flavor. A vegetarian version can be made using plant-based ingredients.
