- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the dough and press it into a deep dish pizza pan, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides. Sprinkle half of the cheese on the bottom, then layer with cooked sausage, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the toppings and top with the remaining cheese. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
