Description

A delightful dish that balances sweet and savory flavors with succulent shrimp, creamy honey-mayo coating, and crunchy candied walnuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep pan for frying at about 350°F.
  2. Mix cornstarch with salt and pepper in a bowl for the coating.
  3. Dip the shrimp into the beaten egg, letting excess drip off, then coat in cornstarch mixture.
  4. Fry the coated shrimp in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  5. Combine walnuts with sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until caramelized.
  6. Mix mayonnaise and honey together until smooth to create the sauce.
  7. Toss the fried shrimp in the mayo and honey mixture and add the candied walnuts.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
