Description

Decadent cupcakes infused with rich chocolate flavor, topped with fluffy cream, resembling mini mugs of hot chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup hot chocolate mix (powdered)
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, hot chocolate mix, and milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just blended.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or mini marshmallows. Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature.
