Description

Warm, buttery pinwheels filled with salty ham and melty cheese, perfect for parties or weeknight snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 8 slices of cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together to form a rectangle.
  3. If using, spread mustard evenly over the dough.
  4. Layer the ham and cheese over the dough, leaving a margin at the edge to seal.
  5. Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch rounds.
  6. Arrange the slices cut-side up on the baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired and bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 3–5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

These pinwheels can be made ahead and stored in the fridge or freezer. For a variety, substitute turkey or add sautéed spinach.
