- 1 medium cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Turmeric powder, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add the cumin seeds and chopped onions, sauté until the onions are translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add the slit green chilies and turmeric powder, mix well.
- Add the shredded cabbage and salt. Stir, cover, and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to a month.
