Description

A delightful flavor of spicy Indian Cabbage, a simple yet satisfying dish that embodies the essence of traditional Indian cooking, packed with nutrients and flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 23 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Turmeric powder, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and chopped onions, sauté until the onions are translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add the slit green chilies and turmeric powder, mix well.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage and salt. Stir, cover, and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to a month.
