Description

A cozy, low-carb casserole featuring tender broccoli and cauliflower, savory beef sausage, and a rich, cheesy cream sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 pound beef sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown the sliced beef sausage for 6–8 minutes.
  4. Steam broccoli and cauliflower for 4–6 minutes until tender.
  5. Combine sausage, vegetables, and cream mixture in a bowl.
  6. Transfer to the baking dish, top with cheddar and Parmesan, and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  7. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter topping, switch half the cheddar to mozzarella. Let casserole rest before serving for better texture.
