Description

A delicious fusion of cheeseburger and creamy Alfredo pasta, topped with fresh tomatoes and optional bacon for added crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: bacon bits, green onions

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. While the water heats, dice the tomatoes and onions, mince the garlic, and shred any cheese if needed. If using bacon bits, crisp them now and drain on paper towels.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned and no pink remains, about 6–8 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the pan. Add the diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté with the beef until the onions are translucent, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Stir the heavy cream and beef broth into the skillet with the beef and onions. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Gradually add the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan, stirring constantly until the cheeses melt and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of pasta water or more broth to loosen it.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and beef mixture. Stir gently to coat the pasta evenly. Fold in the diced tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm, topped with optional bacon bits and sliced green onions for a fresh finish.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and use ground turkey. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining to help loosen the sauce if needed.
