Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping)
  • Optional: diced tomatoes, avocado, or sour cream for toppings

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Measure and shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and set out the cream cheese and shredded cheese so they are ready to soften. Rinse and dry lettuce leaves well.
  2. Mixing: In a small bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground pepper.
  3. Cooking: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30–45 seconds until fragrant. Add the seasoned chicken, cream cheese, and shredded cheese. Stir constantly until the cheeses melt and the mixture is creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Finishing: Remove the skillet from heat. Spoon the cheesy chicken onto lettuce leaves. Top with optional diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, or sour cream if you like. Roll the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For optimal flavor, use warm cream cheese before cooking. Don’t overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.
