Description

Deliciously nostalgic, these sweet and salty pretzel bars feature a creamy filling and crunchy crust, perfect for gatherings or a tasty snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 cups whipped topping
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels with the melted butter. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  2. In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping and spread over the cooled crust.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Drizzle the melted mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, make these bars the day before serving and allow them to chill longer for enhanced flavor.
