Description

A bright, sticky sauce that balances tropical mango sweetness with spicy habanero heat and savory garlic. Perfect for glazing grilled chicken, tossing with wings, or enhancing tacos and bowls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 habanero peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mangoes into chunks. Seed and chop the habanero peppers, wearing gloves if sensitive, and mince the garlic.
  2. Place the mango, habanero, honey, garlic, and apple cider vinegar in a blender and blend until smooth. Add salt to taste.
  3. Pour the blended sauce into a saucepan and heat over medium, stirring often, for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before transferring to a jar and refrigerating.

Notes

Use gloves when handling habaneros. Adjust the heat by removing seeds or adding more mango. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
