Description
Tender, savory meatballs made from ground chicken, Parmesan, and garlic, simmered in marinara for a comforting dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil it. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
- Heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Transfer the baked meatballs to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes to combine flavors. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
Notes
Use a light touch when mixing to keep meatballs tender. Optionally, add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a hint of heat.
