Description
A comforting dish featuring tender meatballs made from ground beef or turkey, served over flavorful rice cooked in savory broth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup rice (white or brown)
- 2 cups beef or chicken broth
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, approximately 8-10 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook the rice according to package instructions using broth instead of water. Serve rice topped with meatballs and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a leaner option, use ground turkey instead of beef. You can also enhance the flavor of the rice by using broth.
