Description

A comforting dish featuring tender meatballs made from ground beef or turkey, served over flavorful rice cooked in savory broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup rice (white or brown)
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, cook the rice according to package instructions using broth instead of water. Serve rice topped with meatballs and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a leaner option, use ground turkey instead of beef. You can also enhance the flavor of the rice by using broth.
