Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
