- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese and softened butter. Add the flour, salt, cayenne pepper (if using), and paprika, mixing until a dough forms. Add cold water as needed.
- Roll the dough into small balls or log shapes, flatten them slightly and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
