Description

Delightful puff pastry twists filled with a rich mixture of feta cheese and fresh spinach, perfect as a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into strips roughly 1 inch wide. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach and crumbled feta, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Place a spoonful of the spinach-feta mixture at one end of each pastry strip. Fold the pastry over the filling and twist to seal.
  4. Brush each twist with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in an oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
